There are sites such as SOFI, and Robinhood where you can start with $5 and they do not charge commissions. You don’t even have to have enough money to buy a whole share of stock. You can buy a portion of a share at one time. If the stock, mutual fund or ETF etc. Increases in value, you can bank that money or you can choose to reinvest it back into the stock and accumulate more shares. I have started this website to share what I am learning about investing. I am a stay at home Mom and I am trying to generate more income for my family.
